LifeMap is the life design system that helps you design your year with intention, measure it honestly, and evolve it year after year. A designed year is worth more than a whole improvised life.
Today, all of LifeMap is free.
The official Wheel · 10 axes · 4 categories · 1 designed life
LifeMap is the free life design system created by Modesto Gutiérrez Losada: the Wheel of the 10 Axes and four paths to design your year, measure it honestly, and evolve it year after year — Just the Wheel (20–30 min), Express Path (30–45 min, recommended to start), Core Path (60–90 min, 6 steps) and Advanced Path (3–4 hours, 10 steps). At the end you receive your LifeMap: the book you wrote about your own life.
The 10 Axes: Health & Vitality · Mind & Emotions · Spirituality & Values · Partner & Love · Family & Close Relationships · Friends & Community · Purpose & Contribution · Work & Vocation · Finances & Wealth · Time & Lifestyle.
"Life is dreamed, planned, designed,
built... and then lived and enjoyed."
Definition
LifeMap is a bilingual (Spanish and English) life-design system that helps you design your year with intention, measure it honestly, and evolve it year after year. It is not a course, a journal, or a simple planner: it is a structured 6-part protocol that integrates reflection, diagnosis, decision-making, and planning into a single coherent system.
The core of the system is the Wheel of 10 Axes — a visual diagnosis of the 10 dimensions of life grouped into 4 categories: Foundations, Relationships, Purpose, and Resources. From that diagnosis, the system guides the user through the 3 Decisions (Release, Keep, Create), the definition of their Transformation #1, and the detailed year design with the Phoenix Protocol for resets.
01 · The diagnosis
It's not a lack of motivation. It's a lack of system. Most people live reactively, without a clear map of where they're going or why.
02 · The paradigm shift
The difference between a lived life and a designed life isn't talent or luck. It's clarity. LifeMap gives you the structure to move from reacting to creating.

03 · The system
LifeMap is not a goals notebook. It's a six-part system that takes you from closing the previous year to designing the next — with honesty, intention, and structure.
Gratitude, highlights, shadows, learnings
You close cycles honestly: you keep what strengthens you and release what has served its purpose.
You rate each of the 10 Axes from 1 to 10, TODAY and GOAL. For the first time you see your whole life in a single image.
Three conscious decisions that define the year. No more, no less. That's how the essential gets filtered.
Year Theme, Identity, Transformation #1, Focus Axes, and the 4 Treasures
The heart of the system: you choose who to be, what to transform, and where to invest.
The dashboard you return to all year: habits, Big Rock, scheduled check-ins, and the Phoenix Protocol for when you drift off.
The multi-year record. Your Theme, your Transformation #1, and your ten Axes, year after year. Here you watch your life evolve.
20–30 min · 2 steps
Where are you today? An honest snapshot of your life across the 10 Axes. The starting point for everything.
Start with the Wheel30–45 min · all 10 steps, minimal version
The whole system, at its most compact. The same full journey as the Advanced Path, with one answer where the deep system asks for three. Ideal for your first time — and nothing you write is lost if you move up later.
Start Express Path60–90 min · 6 steps
The essentials, in depth. You close the previous year, make the 3 Decisions, and design the one ahead — without the optional layers.
Start Core Path3–4 hours · 10 steps
The whole system, in depth. Includes Glass & Rubber Balls, My Future Self, Vision Board, the 4 Treasures, and the full Control Map.
Start Advanced Path04 · The 10 Axes
Most productivity systems ignore that life is multidimensional. LifeMap measures and designs the 10 axes that make up a full life — leaving none out.
The foundation of everything. Without solid foundations, any structure collapses.
The vehicle that carries you to all your dreams. Energy, rest, longevity, well-being.
The quality of your mind determines the quality of your life. Clarity, regulation, inner peace.
Your identity, your personal code, and the non-negotiable principles that guide your decisions.
The context where we experience the deepest emotions and leave our mark.
Your primary intimate relationship. Communication, intimacy, mutual growth, shared life.
The bonds we didn't choose but that shape us. Parents, children, siblings, legacy.
Your chosen tribe. We are the average of the five people we spend the most time with.
Where your talents meet the needs of the world.
Your reason for being beyond yourself. What cause moves you? What legacy do you want to leave?
Where your unique talents create value for others. Your zone of genius and professional mastery.
The resources that enable everything else. Tools, not ends.
Money as a tool for freedom, not as an end. Income, savings, investment, abundance.
Your most valuable and the only non-renewable resource. Does your calendar reflect your priorities?
05 · The key concept
Some things bounce when you drop them. Others break and leave a crack.
This is LifeMap's recommendation, not your answer. Inside the system, every Axis arrives with its suggested classification and the reason behind it — and you can change all ten. The reason is there so you can disagree with grounds: if your business is on the edge, Finances may be Glass this year.

"LifeMap helps you identify which are your crystal balls this year — and protect them before they fall."
06 · The principles
LifeMap is not a collection of techniques. It's built on proven principles, distilled from the best life design thinkers.
— Bloom · Sharma
Small repeated actions beat large occasional plans. Consistency outperforms intensity.
— Naval Ravikant
Seek leverage: systems, technology, team, communication. Work with multipliers.
— Tony Robbins
Daily minimum standards save you in hard weeks. Habits are more powerful than goals.
— Matthew Kelly
Protect your energy — sleep, movement, nutrition, calm. Without energy, there is no execution.
— Ray Dalio
Review honestly. Adjust every quarter. No drama, no ego. Just data and course correction.
"Consistency is not never failing. It's starting over as many times as necessary."
07 · The differentiator
All productivity systems tell you what to do. None tell you what to do when you stop doing it. The Phoenix Protocol is LifeMap's answer to that question.
It's not a second chance. It's the recognition that life is not linear — and that starting over is part of the system, not a failure of the system.
"The LifeMap system doesn't break when you leave it. It only breaks if you decide not to come back."

08 · What sets us apart
Other planners end in December. LifeMap starts there. Part VI: Evolution records your Theme, your Main Transformation, and your scores across the 10 axes — year after year, for 7 or more years.
In that table, for the first time, you see your life evolve. You see which axes you've grown in, which you've neglected, which themes repeat.
"Consistency, discipline, and progress — not perfection — that is the goal."

09 · On the shoulders of giants
You don’t need to read twelve books. You need a system that has already integrated them for you.
The wisdom to design a meaningful life is no secret — but it’s scattered across the great minds of purpose, habit, wealth and meaning, buried in thousands of pages almost no one has the time (or energy) to read, let alone connect.
LifeMap is the result of studying twelve of those thinkers, distilling the principles that actually move the needle, and weaving them into a single coherent, clear and — above all — applicable method. It’s not a collection of borrowed ideas or someone else’s summary: it’s an original architecture, created by Modesto Gutiérrez Losada, that stands on the best of each to take you from reflection to action. No excess theory. No assembling the puzzle yourself. A system, not twelve books.

11 · The story
LifeMap was born from personal frustration: every year started with clear intentions that faded before March. After years studying the best — Covey, Robbins, Dalio, Naval, Butcher, Bloom — and testing each framework in my own life, I built LifeMap as the synthesis I was missing.
Today I share it because I believe no one should reach the end of a year wondering where it went.
