Frequently Asked Questions
Direct answers to the most common questions about the system, the Wheel of 10 Axes, the Phoenix Protocol, and how to get started.
LifeMap is a bilingual (Spanish and English) life-design system that helps you design your year with intention, measure it honestly, and evolve it year after year. It is not a course, a journal, or a simple planner: it is a structured 6-part protocol that integrates reflection, diagnosis, decision-making, and planning into a single coherent system. It is available completely free on this platform.
Everything in LifeMap today is completely free. The Wheel of 10 Axes, the full Core Path, the full Advanced Path, the Starter Kit PDF, the interactive wizard, the control map, and the historical evolution — all of it, without exception, is free. There is no paid version, no subscription, nothing hidden behind a paywall. You only need to register your email to receive the PDF. The wizard on the platform doesn’t even require registration to use.
It is not required. You can use the complete wizard (Wheel, Core Path, and Advanced Path) without creating any account. If you create an account, your progress is saved in the cloud and you can access it from any device. Without an account, progress is saved locally in your browser. In both cases, access is completely free.
The Wheel of 10 Axes is the central diagnostic tool of the LifeMap system. It evaluates your life across 10 dimensions grouped into 4 categories: A · Foundations (Health/Vitality, Mind/Emotions, Spirituality/Values), B · Relationships (Partner/Love, Family, Friends/Community), C · Purpose (Purpose/Contribution, Work/Vocation), and D · Resources (Finances/Wealth, Time/Lifestyle). Rate each axis from 1 to 10 to see your real situation today and define your goal for the year. It is the first step of any path and can be done independently.
The Core Path includes the first 4 parts of the system: closing the previous year, the Wheel of 10 Axes, the 3 Decisions, and designing your focus axes. It is ideal for those starting out or wanting a complete annual review in less time (2-3 hours). The Advanced Path adds parts 5, 6, and 7: the detailed year design (Year Theme, Identity, Transformation #1, the 4 Treasures, Vision Board, habits, Phoenix Protocol), the control map, and the multi-year historical evolution. Both are completely free.
The Phoenix Protocol is the reset mechanism of the LifeMap system. When the year is not going as expected — due to a crisis, an unexpected change, or simply because you drifted from the plan — the Phoenix Protocol gives you a structured process to do a new partial closing, redefine your current situation, and relaunch the year from where you are. It is not giving up: it is reinventing yourself with intention. It is included in the Advanced Path, completely free.
The 4 Treasures are the four fundamental resources we all have that LifeMap helps you invest with intention: Time (your most valuable and only non-renewable resource), Money (financial capital to create freedom), Energy (health, vitality, relationships, and spiritual well-being), and Knowledge (learning, personal development, and intellectual expansion). The system guides you to consciously decide which of these Treasures to invest most in this year and how to do so across each priority axis.
This is one of the most powerful distinctions in the LifeMap system for prioritizing with clarity. Glass Balls are the axes of your life that, if dropped, break forever or are very difficult to recover — health, your children during their childhood, a relationship in crisis, your integrity. Rubber Balls are the ones that bounce back: if you let them go today, you can pick them up later — money, a project, a professional goal. The most common mistake is dropping glass balls to attend to rubber balls. This classification helps you make the 3 Decisions honestly and prioritize what truly cannot wait.
The Wheel of 10 Axes alone takes 20 to 40 minutes. The full Core Path can be completed in a 2 to 3-hour session. The full Advanced Path, with all the depth of the year design, takes 4 to 6 hours spread across several sessions. The system is designed to be done once a year, ideally in December or January, although it can be started at any time of the year.
Transformation #1 is the central concept of the year design in LifeMap. Instead of having 10 scattered goals (one per axis), the system guides you to identify the most important change that, if it happens this year, will have the greatest positive cascading impact on all other axes. It is the main focus of the year: not the only objective, but the leverage point from which everything else moves. It is chosen in the Advanced Path and becomes the center of your Vision Board and non-negotiable habits.
LifeMap is available in Spanish and English with the same editorial quality in both languages. The entire platform, wizard, LifeMap Year Design PDF, and supporting materials are fully translated. You can switch languages at any time using the EN/ES selector in the navigation bar, even in the middle of a wizard.
Yes. Although the ideal time is December or January (to close one year and design the next), the system works at any time. If you are in the middle of the year and feel you need clarity, direction, or a reset, the Phoenix Protocol is designed exactly for that. A well-designed year can start in any month.
The Starter Kit is LifeMap’s welcome package. It includes the complete LifeMap Year Design in printable PDF (for those who prefer paper), the system instructions, the Wheel of 10 Axes in visual format, and the method reference materials. It downloads for free by registering your email. You can also fill it out directly on the platform digitally, without needing to download anything.
Yes. The Starter Kit includes LifeMap Year Design in printable PDF, designed to be filled in by hand. Many users prefer the physical experience of writing on paper. The digital platform and the PDF are complementary: you can do the digital reflection and then print your summary, or vice versa.
The Wheel of 10 Axes is the diagnosis: it tells you where you are today in each area of your life. The Core Path goes further: after the diagnosis, it guides you to close the previous year, classify your glass and rubber balls, make the 3 Decisions (what to release, keep, and create), and design an action plan per axis. The Wheel alone takes 20-40 minutes; the full Core Path, 2-3 hours.
